This is why each card has a number, and most cards have one or more shapes on them, in order to provide music educators with a variety of strategies for using them. All flashcards also feature both note names and fingerings for every note in the essential range of each instrument, including the mallet instruments!

Fingering Flashcards for Your Band Classroom
The StepWise Band Flashcards will help all your students master their notes and fingerings, and are easy, fun, and affordable to use. Three types of classroom sets are available, and all come with a very useful TEACHER'S GUIDE that allows teachers to tailor the flashcard learning activities to their specific needs.
The standard CLASSROOM SET provides one set of flashcards per instrument on glossy card stock. If your band is smaller, or if you only plan to use the flashcards for occasional assessment, then this may be all you need.
However, if you want your band students using flashcards regularly in class and at home, you should consider getting the REPRODUCIBLE SET or PDF PRINTABLE SET. All you need is a copy machine and some card stock to make dozens or hundreds of sets of flashcards each year! Both of these sets come with a CUTTING GUIDE to allow you or your students to cut perfectly-sized flashcards on a paper slicer.
